Humanitarian Organization for Sustainable Development in Pakistan's (HOSDP) is a non-government, non-commercial, non-political, non-religious and non-profit national development organization which was established in October 2013 and registered under the society act XXI OF 1860 (registration No. 7414) in october 2014 with the crystal clear vision to see the rural society free from the social problems with the participatory approach to make them self-reliant in every walk of life. HOSDP shares its significant contributions in the process of reducing human suffering and social stigmatization for improving the livelihoods of poverty- stricken/marginalized communities and promoting the peace through various development interventions.
At the initial stage, HOSDP started its work from few villages of Sindh by Providing trainings with formation of cooperative/ saving groups, health, saving, leadership, education, organic, farming, disaster risk reduction, advocacy etc and in 2015 HOSDP extended its circle more than 30 villages of 8 districts of Sindh-Pakistan to deal with a complex syndrome like poverty. HOSDP applies a holistic approach encouraging innovative interventions through its 6 core programs. HOSDP has progressed a lot from its inception with learning from experiences and through a responsive and inductive process. HOSDP has a head office at Hyderabad with the 5 paid experienced personnel with 10 volunteers, 4 field officer and 1 Regional in Punjab.

Our Objective
To Create awareness among the poverty stricken/marginalized communities about CCBs formation, education, education, agriculture, health and hygiene, HIV/AIDs, TB, Hepatitis, malnutrition, family planning, etc. in the targeted community through workshop, seminars, training, environment related issues and so forth.
To implement emergency relief in times of natural and man-made calamities and disasters such as famine, flood, storms, epidemics, wars etc. to the people of Pakistan without any discrimination of gender, race, cast, color and creed.
Setting up of institutions, skills-development centers, schools, adult literacy centers especially in the backward areas of Pakistan, and to provide opportunities for higher and technical education.
To promote health and medical programs, to provide instructions regarding prevention as well as cure for the tribal, rural and urban people and to establish dispensaries, maternity homes, hospitals, health care centers etc.

Health is one of the most important determinants of human well-being. In this regard, HOSDP Organizes theaters/awareness programs such as HIV/AIDS, TB, typhoid, hepatitis, mother & child care (pre and post natal), population, personal hygiene, etc. Under this program HOSDP has also been focusing on improving the quality of life of disabled children by providing essentials rehabilitation services from regional office Punjab.
it works with clear vision to able the community to achieve sustainable improvement in their livelihood, attain, high degree of self-reliance and for managing their own affairs with dignity and freedom by providing wide-range trainings on saving, small business, social mobilization, surf making, handicraft, sewing, candle making, embroidery, cooperative society, card making, career guidance workshops, train the youth with the help of apprenticeship interventions and provides the jobs for the jobless.
Education sector of Pakistan isn’t very encouraging and required attention as illiteracy rises to many social evils. In rural, especially remote areas have been facing manifold problems viz.shortage of teacher, lack of supervision and cultural constraints (for girls) are some main factors. HOSDP is playing a vital role since its inception by organizing awareness / theaters and providing books and stationery to the needy children. Addition to this, organizes teacher trainings, computer classes (boys & girls), establishes community based schools and adult literacy classes for their better future.
HOSDP has been providing trainings on tree plantation, livestock management , land management, aquaculture, sericulture, horticulture, conducts awareness on modern method of cultivation, organic farming , water management tree plantation, kitchen gardening, smokeless stoves and so forth. Moreover, also forms Village Development Committees (VDC) and Promoting fuel efficient stoves, kitchen gardening and plantation of fruit trees as well as organizes meeting with factories owners for adopting of National Environment Policy (NEP).
It is true that complete development of the country requires the maximum participation of women on equal terms with men in all fields.
WEP was launched particularly for women in 2013 with an apparent focus for strengthening rural women in every aspect and organizes interactive theater (about issues of domestic violence against women, early marriages), trainings on leadership, handicraft, sewing, education (reading, writing and numeracy) and women rights in order to build capacity and make them selft-reliant.
Millions of the individuals are affected by the Natural and Man-mad disasters all over the world where in Pakistan is one of them which also affected by the earthquakes, cyclones, floods, sea intrusion, drought, fire etc. Under this project HOSDP coordinate in any emergency with the GOs / INGOs in order to Provide services and to reduce the risk of duplication and provides relief (food and non-food), forms Disaster Management Committees (DMCs) in villages and provides trainings in order to build their resiliency power against disasters.
Introduction Alternative Research Initiative (ARI), in collaboration with Humanitarian for Organization Sustainable Development Pakistan, conducted a comprehensive community awareness session on the dangers of smoking. The session was held at Caritas Hall, Hyderabad, and saw participation from individuals representing various sectors, including community leaders, civil society members, journalists, transgender activists, lawyers, students, and other professionals.
